I don't understand 😬 do I get damaged by the ghosts? but otherwise pretty juicy and fun

Simple idea but makes for a really fun game! Really solid start for a game, if you wanted to work on the game more I would suggest:

  • The slow down time mechanic is cool but limiting it in some way (maybe only 1 second per swipe) would be better because is feels OP and slows down the game a lot. Slowing down the music as well would be cool
  • Juice up the enemy deaths, give me some sliced-in-half animations or blood spatters and maybe some camera shake or effect for killing multiple enemies
  • Enemy variety - everything feels the same, maybe certain enemies could take more than 1 hit, can only be hit from a certain direction, dangerous in some way so should be hunted down etc.
  • Instead of text for the spacebar effect maybe have a bar that slowly fills up. Not sure if you need to be able to clear the screen but maybe some other defensive effect would make more sense, currently it breaks the immersion for me

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I actually wanted to add a lot of things like, invulnerability frames, damage knockback, clearing enemies on screen animation, background , health pick ups, enemies getting faster over time , enemies with more health, but since it's a learning project I decided to keep it short.(and maybe because i ran into some problems with some of them.maybe.)
